Coach Representation
One of our first clients was Kjell André Thu who is a solid name among coaches in Norwegian football. He started by taking Ørn Horten from tier 4 to tier 3 and then went on to take Egersund from tier 3 to tier 2 in his first season there. They came 4th and reached a playoff – a massive achievement considering they had the 2nd lowest budget in the league.
Although the mechanisms are somewhat different, representing a coach as a football agent is very similar to representing a player. It’s about identifying opportunities and maximising their career.
A football agent can be a supportive element for a coach, relieving the coach of administrative tasks and negotiating the best possible contracts for them.
Two of the strengths of Agent1 is marketing/PR and destination management/welfare advice which can obviously be useful for a coach with a busy schedule.
Our job as an agent is basically to look after every aspect of the coach’s career, to allow our clients to concentrate on coaching football.
